The AIA Diversity Roundtable is sponsoring a meeting on February 2nd at 4pm at the AIA Seattle offices to coordinate and inform the response to the Haitian earthquake. We are currently working with the Seattle-based Non-Profit Jua Lekundu, an organization working towards the creation of a Neighborhood Center in Arusha, Tanzania. Their long term goal is to create a complex of buildings that would be an anchor for the community, including a solar well, school, medical clinic, teaching farm, and residences for volunteers.
