Project Location: Rabuor Village, Kenya

Project Partner: Rabuor Village Project and Village Volunteers

Project Team:
Aaron Briggs, Kate Cudney, Morgan Elliott, Tom Mulica, Lara Normand, Sony Purba, Owen Richards
Project Description:
In conjunction with the Rabuor Village Project and Village Volunteers, AWB-Seattle began design on community and vocational centers in southwestern Kenya in early May. Two AWB-Seattle team members visited the Village in August to review site options and meet with the community. A site was selected on a main international road and a two building complex was designed with multi-use spaces, covered walkways and courtyards. Local materials and construction techniques are used to insure that local builders and crafts people can be involved in construction. The building is permitted.
