Project Description:As part of the initial response to the flood damage in SW Washington, AWB-Seattle, in conjunction with AIA Washington, worked quickly to get volunteers to the areas most affected by flood damage. On Saturday and Sunday December 8th and 9th training sessions were held to get volunteers up to speed on the Applied Technology Council Wind & Water Damage assessment protocols. Many volunteers were then deployed to Centralia to begin Damage Assessments on the most affected homes. Assessments allowed residents to move forward with cleaning up or rebuilding and were important in the recovery effort.
